Overview

WinTrack movement responder makes it possible to fully control mouse movement and action (left and right mouse button clicks and double-clicks) through simple head or hand movements. It has been designed mainly to help challenged persons navigate the web, end/or perform other computer related tasks, but may prove useful to anybody wishing to perform hands free computer control.

WinTrack works by capturing images from any low-cost CCD camera, searching the captured images to detect presence and position of a colored target, and finally transforming this information into adequate mouse movement/action (by injecting relevant information into the Windows operating system message stream).

By using passive camera image analysis technology, WinTrack is absolutely harmless, in contrast to (potentially dangerous) active devices, which usually project a beam of electromagnetic radiation onto a reflective target mounted on the user’s head, in order to achieve movement detection.
